
JH Track opens their season this afternoon in Pleasanton!


Here's the schedule for the week! JH Track finally gets their first meet of the season, KAY Club is hosting another blood drive, Prom this weekend and everything else in between!


The forensics team had their last tournament where they were the competitors in Chanute today and Sophia Heim was able to state qualify another event! Not only that, she placed 1st! Congratulations!
Complete medaling results are:
Sophia Heim - 1st in Informative Speaking, 6th in Extemporaneous Speaking
Lily Mynatt & Kylie Whitcomb - 6th in Duet Acting
Others competing were Colin Ard, Khiana Haynes, and Sheridan Byrd!
They have one final tournament where they're the hosts and then it's onto state and nationals!







No JH track practice today with this rain and more coming. Enjoy your weekend and remember we have track pictures and our first meet on Monday as well.

The weather held off just enough that the baseball team was able to sweep the night! Congratulations on the first wins of the season!


Cash McVey, Savannah Cain and Ainsley Carr are the winners of the Elementary Library raffle for selling the most tickets. They got pizza, soda and a certificate from Chancy’s for a shake donated by Kirk!

Today, there was a meeting for students (5th-11th grade) interested in trying out for either the junior or high school cheer squad today. Inquiring students should attend the practice next Friday, April 11th to learn the cheers and dance (dance is high school only) to tryout. The practice will be in the Old Gym. The actual tryout will be Monday, April 14th at 10am in the New Gym. Student trying out need to complete and sign the contract and have three teacher evaluation forms turned in by/on the tryout date. Forms are located in the high school office for any and all students!


Have you heard? Basketball season isn't over! Parents & Families are invited to come watch our Marmaton Valley Wildcat Special Olympic Team take on the S.O. Iola Mustangs tomorrow morning at 10:00am! Please enter through the Commons Area to watch the basketball game.

The date for the home forensics meet has been moved to April 16th. Miss Luken and her team will be looking for judges for this after school event so if interested, please reach out!
