
Cross country wrapped up their season today at Regionals. They didn't advance to state but all ran great!

The prize basket has been assembled for the MV Cheer Pumpkin Decorating contest! As it's been declared, our Wildcats WILL be hosting the first round playoff game on October 31st! Bring up a decorated/carved pumpkin to enter in the contest. Spectators can vote by placing money in its corresponding container. $1 = 1 vote! The pumpkin with the most votes at the end of the game, wins the basket!The basket that's valued over $50 can be yours! Pumpkins may be brought up to the school prior to the school if desired! It's the start of the annual college visits! Eighth grade was able to visit Labette Community College today!

Junior high basketball starts this week!
Boys will begin tomorrow, Tuesday October 23rd and will go until 5:30p. There will be a parent meeting for the boys after practice in the commons.
Girls will begin WEDNESDAY, October 23rd as HS Volleyball still has games. This is contrary to what was told to the girls last week. If you have any questions, please call the HS office!

MV Cheer is excited to announce a fun new contest!

And the boys get it done! District record 2-0, Season record 6-1! We head to St Paul next week for the last regular season game! There is a pep bus sign up for pep club members on Miss Luken's door. Students have until the end of the day Wednesday to sign up!

Cross Country Results from League! Congrats on all the finishers and medalists! The placing might be off for junior high as there were some technical difficulties. That was the final meet for our junior high runners. High school will head to regionals next weekend!

The Junior High Student Council have been busy planning the first event of the year. Drumroll please............a Halloween Dance! 6th-8th eligible students (no Ds or Fs, no suspensions) are invited to come in a school appropriate costume for a night of dancing and fun! Students need to bring an unopened drink and a note from parent(s) on how they are getting home.

Don't worry about dinner Friday before the big game against Crest, MVHS Baseball has you covered! Starting at 5:30p, the baseball team will be serving a pulled pork dinner thanks to the donation of meat from G&W Foods! Proceeds will go back to the baseball program. Go Wildcats!
