Location for elementary student pickup at 3:20.

We're looking forward to seeing our students tomorrow and having a great first day of school!
I would like to inform you of a change regarding the elementary student pickup location @ 3:20. Both bus students and those being picked up by parents will walk to the east parking lot. Specific parking for parents has been reserved at the south end of the high school parking lot.
In order to ensure the safety and smooth transition of our students, we kindly request that parents come to their child's teacher and accompany your child to your vehicle.
Morning drop off procedures will remain the same.
Thank you for your attention, and we can't wait to see you all tomorrow!

As a parent of a Marmaton Valley student, I could not be happier with the group of teachers and coaches that my son has to help mold and shape him for the future. As an administrator I feel blessed and unbelievably lucky to go to battle with such an excellent staff. I could not do it without them. This article doesn't say it all but it is definitely worth reading.

Reminder! For those 6th-12th grade athletes that have not gotten their physicals yet, we will have a company here in the main gym at 3:00 pm today doing physicals for $20. Proceeds go to the football team. Try to get here at 3:00 because she will be here until the rush is over.

Last opportunity before practice starts!
Fall Sports Physicals on Friday August 11th at 3:00 pm in the big gym

More pictures from this weekends golf Tournament

Just wanted to thank everyone again for their hard work in planning and execution of the Marmaton Valley Booster Club Golf Tournament this past weekend. I also would like to thank all of our sponsors: PrairieLand Partners, H&H-Bill Weston, Terry Sparks, Jason Dreher, Farm Bureau, East Kansas Agri-Energy, Rookies, Channel Seed, Sigg Tire, Ag Choice. This could not have happened without your help.

Awesome turnout for the golf tournament today! Thank you Booster club, coaches, parents, and everyone else that made this happen. Nothing better than the community coming together to help students.

Just a reminder! We are in the Commons area until 6:00 pm tonight for Prek-12 enrollment. Hope to see you soon.

Long time Marmaton Valley Art teacher Mr. Wilson has officially retired. If you have ever been in his classroom you would have noticed these Senior discs, he had quite the collection. I have since inherited those discs and I really do not want to dispose of them without giving their owners the chance to come claim them. I have two full boxes, please feel free to stop by the High School office to grab yours if you would like it. Contact me with a description at bcampbell@usd256.net if you are wondering if I have yours and I will check before you make the trip.

The 22-23 HS/JH Yearbooks are in and will be at enrollment this Thursday and Friday! If you haven't purchased one, there is only a select few left! If you have, they will be ready for pick up! And as always, there will be a presale for this upcoming year!

For those athletes that have qualified for the Chiefs Training camp by meeting the summer weights attendance requirement, the bus will leave at 6 AM on Friday morning 08/04/2023. We will leave from the school parking lot, please bring everything you need for the day in the sun, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, etc. Each student attending should also bring money for lunch and any souvenirs they wish to purchase. The bus will return mid afternoon to early evening. If you are unable to attend please let Coach Mickunas know before hand so that he can find a replacement so the ticket does not go to waste.

We made it home! Friday we visited the home of George Washington at Mount Vernon and The Nature and Science Smithsonian Museum before heading to the airport. On the bus ride home Calleigh Beal was awarded the thirst for knowledge award and Brevyn Campbell got the positive attitude award. This was a great trip, thank you parents, students and World Classrooms for making this a trip these students will never forget.

Day 3 is almost a wrap. We started the day in Gettysburg, if you have not been I highly recommend it. From there we saw the iconic marine corp statue. Next we went to the MLK, FDR, and Jefferson memorials at the tidal basin. We are capping the night off with a trip to the National Harbor. Another great day in the books. Parents you kiddos will be coming home tomorrow and will be in Uniontown roughly at 9:00 pm.

Day two in DC was a success. We started at Arlington cemetery where we saw JFKs tomb, the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldiers, and the Arlington house. We followed that up with a trip to the White House. From there we went to the Holocaust museum and we ended the day visiting the Vietnam, Lincoln, and Korean War memorials. Another jam packed day but once again things were great.
