The baseball team opened up their season tonight against Riverton. Don't forget Thursday's game at Pleasanton starts at 2pm!

If you volunteered at our HS Forensics meet this last weekend, you probably ate this lady's delicious soup (spoiler: it's her favorite thing to eat/make!). We're so thankful for Trista!

Just a couple of updates from USD 256
There will be no school this Friday 3/29/2024 in observance of Good Friday.
High School Prom date has changed to Saturday April 13th with the drive up starting at 5:30 and grand march starting at 6:30.
**Due to this change**
We WILL have school on April 8th.
There will NOT be school on April 15th.

Check out this week's events! HS Spring Sports start this week!

Although basketball ended last week, we want to spotlight our Sports in Kansas Coach of the Year finalist, Cornell Walls!

It's a wonderful Wednesday to spotlight Mrs. Johnson!

The date has been set for the Winter Sports Banquet. Please join us next Wednesday, 7pm, March 27, 2024!

Here we go again. I have a Riverton coming to Moran for a baseball double header starting at 4:30 on 3/25 and St Paul coming to Moran for a double header on 4/18 starting at 4:30.
Couple of changes for baseball already. The 3/25 game against Chetopa has been canceled, I am looking for a replacement. The 3/28 games at Pleasanton will be moved up to 2:00 pm due to there not being lights. Same situation for Uniontown on April 4th but they will start at 2:30 (as of now). We have added one double header so far against Erie on 4/12 @ Erie. More changes coming, I will try to keep you posted as soon as I get information.

It's also good to start off the week with a staff spotlight!

Welcome back everyone! As we are starting the fourth quarter, don't forget that Spring Photos are THIS Wednesday!

Enjoy your week!

Two of our own have been nominated for Athlete of the Month by The Iola Register! Voting is open until March 16th! You can vote multiple times!

Last night, the National Honor Society inducted nine new members (two are missing from photo) to their prestigious organization. Our six seniors were also recognized and given their stoles they are to wear during graduation. Congratulations to all!

Before we head into Spring Break, we wanted to spotlight one of the best!

We wanted to make all of you aware of an incident that occurred late last night. During an online chat session, threats were made against an area school by students from another community. There was no threat made against our district or by or against anyone from our district. However, due to the close proximity, we will have additional officers on our school grounds today and will take additional safety precautions. Again, we are simply acting out of an abundance of caution. There has been no threat to our schools.

Although the game didn't turn out the way we wanted, we are so proud of our Wildcats! Win or lose, we're proud of you!

The Wildcat Fans and Band are on their way to Great Bend! Go Cats!

Mrs. Wools' Second Grade class has been busy celebrating Read Across America week and even supporting our Wildcats for their big game!
