Just a reminder to parents/guardians that the last official school day for 2021 will be Friday December 17th.
Exceptions are those 6th-12th graders who have met the requirements to be exempt from the finals. A note was sent home with all students and if the note was not signed by a parent/guardian then that student has to be at school both days. This note explained the process and let parent/guardians know which final their child is taking.
The requirements to be exempt from the finals are:
90% or better with 2 absences or less, 80% or better with 3 absences or less, 70% or better with 4 absences or less AND they must improve on ALL 3 areas of the MAPs test. Juniors and Seniors cannot have below a B or more than 3 absences to be exempt.
If a student earned both days off then their last day of attendance is today. If a student has to take a final then they have to show up at 8:00 that morning and may leave after their last final has been completed. Families are responsible for transportation if any student is leaving early.
Finals schedule is:
December 16th we will take 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th hour final
December 17th we will take 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th hour finals.
Teachers will return to school January 3rd but students will not be back in school until January 4th, 2022/
