Summer School/Summer Breakfast

SUMMER SCHOOL
Marmaton Valley, USD 256 has an extended learning opportunity
for students who have not mastered essential learning skills,
passed all required classes, or who have not scored “Meets
Standard” on the state assessments. Our responsibility through the
“No Child Left Behind” Act is to be sure that all students master
essential skills appropriate for their age. Classes will begin on
Tuesday, May 26, Monday through Thursday, through June 25 from 8:30
– 11:30 a.m.
Transportation will be provided for students outside the city
limits of Moran and our breakfast program will be available. K-8
grades will be tutored in the elementary school. We will offer 9-12
summer classes at the high school through our Virtual Prescriptive
Learning (VPL) program.

School Breakfast is Still Going!!!!
Marmaton Valley Schools will once again be participating in the FREE Summer Breakfast program for children, ages 1-18. A healthy and nutritious breakfast will be served, free of charge, each morning, Monday through Thursday, from 7:20 a.m. until 8:20 a.m. at the school cafeteria beginning May 26 and ending with summer school on June 25. ALL children between these ages are encouraged to attend!
All students attending Summer School, Driver's Education, Weight Lifting, Summer Swimming Lessons, and Vacation Bible School are all encouraged to participate.
